ABOUT THIS ROLE
The NOC Technician role is part of the RIA Production Engineering organization and is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position. This position works in a collaborative environment to support both new business initiatives and the stability of existing systems. 
The NOC Technician is responsible for system monitoring to ensure the highest up-time availability. They report, escalate, and follow up on system outages to the proper engineering team. The team is the first line of contact for any production issues with internal users, third parties, and partners. 
Also, provide support that includes identify and troubleshooting issues related to Correspondent Transmission, Connectivity, APIs calls and Deployments among others.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Monitor a large, complex data and voice network infrastructure.
•    Document incidents/Problems.
•    Generate reporting | Impact analysis.
•  Lead communication between teams, including external communications with vendors and customers.
•    Provide support for performance and transmission testing, monitoring, alerting, and escalation.
•    Work in a fast-paced environment.
•    Analyze and troubleshoot complex problems.
•    Be part of a 24/7-team to cover business needs.
•    Able to work remotely, nights and weekends in an off-hour shift role.
•    Daily health reporting for business audience.
•    Document support tickets.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS 
  • Technical Skills: Grafana | Nagios | ICINGA | Redgate | Uptrends | Opsgenie
  • Azure – Basic knowledge
  • VMWare - Basic understanding of VMWare and experience
  • Networking
  • Understanding of TCP/IP
  • Scripting experience using bash, batch files or PowerShell
  • Ticketing Solutions
  • Jira or similar
  • ITIL or Cobit5 Frameworks
  • Fluent in English (Advanced)
  • Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
