ABOUT THIS ROLE
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design & Build
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Design and implement end-to-end solutions across the stack, including APIs, databases, and client-side applications.
- Optimize systems for reliability, availability, and observability.
- Own the technical delivery of features, ensuring alignment with best practices and architectural standards.
- Analyze & Iterate
- Debug complex issues across the stack and optimize performance bottlenecks.
- Use metrics and logs to monitor, analyze, and improve system health and performance.
- Evaluate new technologies and frameworks to continuously improve our technical capabilities.
- Collaborate
- Work closely with other engineers to architect solutions that balance speed and technical debt.
- Engage with Product Managers to align technical roadmaps with business goals.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and external APIs to extend platform capabilities.
- Communicate
- Document technical decisions and share knowledge with the engineering team.
- Provide clear and actionable feedback in code reviews.
- Communicate technical risks and trade-offs to stakeholders effectively.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
- Expertise in TypeScript and hands-on experience with frameworks like Vue, React, Next.js, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, CloudFront, RDS) and experience building cloud-native applications.
- Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and working with distributed systems.
- A technical-first mindset with the ability to dive deep into system design and architecture.
- Proven ability to deliver complex features from concept to production.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across the entire stack.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and stakeholders.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and serverless design patterns.
- Experience optimizing large-scale systems for performance and resilience.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
- Experience with observability tools and practices (e.g., logging, monitoring, tracing).
